is a writer and Oklahoma Artist-in-Residence. In 1997 she left her home and career to go “into the Silence” and renew her life’s purpose. Since that time, Pat has conducted hundreds of Silence Workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Pat's unusual art, journaling, and mindfulness exercises help people of all ages walk their inner terrain and hear their inner voice. She is Executive Director of The Silence Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a member of the faculty at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico.
has a Doctorate in adult education and is a licensed counselor. She has worked in coaching, counseling, and teaching. She enjoys time with family and friends, making gourds, yoga, her dog Charlie, and flower gardening. She is the author with her husband, Larry Ward, of Love’s Garden, “A Guide to Mindful Relationships”, recently selected in the list of Best Buddhist Writings of 2009, and available through Parallax Press. Peggy lives in Encinitas, California and is co-director of The Lotus Institute. |
